日本漫画家车田正美授权，久织知槙绘画的日本漫画《圣斗士星矢：圣斗少女翔》于2016年12月15日官方宣布动画化，根据最新杂志消息。该动画宣传封面图公布，由gonzo负责动画制作。动画将于2018年12月10日开始每周一19:00（日本时间）在Amazon Prime Video频道、ANIMAX on PlayStation（PS4)首播。主人公·翔子是就读于流星学园中等部的中学生。和她很亲密的姐姐·响子，自从5年前去海外留学后就失去行踪。某天，身份不明者突然袭击了翔子。袭击了她的是过去被女神雅典娜所封印的邪神厄里斯的手下·邪精灵。于是翔子得知了雅典娜以及圣斗士、圣斗少女的存在，同时也知道了自己和姐姐的残酷宿命。灵魂被封印的邪神厄里斯即将复活，邪精灵们也变得活跃。在星矢等人展开银河战争以及与十二宫的恶斗的另一面，沙织和圣斗少女借助黄金圣斗士的力量，展开了与邪精灵的壮烈战斗！并且，恶之撒加也有了复活的征兆……。将一切的钥匙掌握在手的，是为了成为圣斗少女而刚刚开始锻炼的翔子！即使被残酷的命运击倒，少女们仍然反抗命运。少女们与诸神的壮烈战斗物语开幕！
